Screening
Every sender is checked before an invoice grants anything. A sanctions hit never buys and is never refunded.
Before invoice.fulfilled, every address that sent the money is checked. On EVM networks that is the token transfer's sender and the transaction's own sender; on Bitcoin, every input. The full picture, for you and your lawyer: Sanctions and risk.
What is checked
| Check | Networks | On a hit |
|---|---|---|
| OFAC's sanctioned addresses (a daily copy) | All | Red flag |
| TRM Labs' free sanctions API (second opinion) | All | Red flag |
| The stablecoin issuer's freeze, sender and receiving address | USDC, USDT, USDT0 | Red flag |
| ScamSniffer's phishing and drainer list | EVM | Review, your call |
A list missing or older than 7 days answers "error", and nothing is granted. A check that has not answered after 30 minutes sends the invoice to review.
What you receive
invoice.review— held for you. The invoice'sreview_reasonsays why:screening_hit,screening_unavailable, and others.- A red flag never becomes
invoice.fulfilled: neither Accept in the dashboard nor the API can grant it. The database refuses it. - A refund of red-flagged money is refused: the dashboard says why, and the API answers
sanctioned_sender. - Money that pays no invoice is screened too. A red flag on it shows in the dashboard's review queue as Flagged.
Don't ship on
invoice.paid: it can be followed by invoice.review. Ship on invoice.fulfilled, which comes only after screening is clear.Refused places
From sanctioned countries and regions, sign-up, the dashboard and the hosted checkout are refused by the country of the connection. Pages you host yourself, with an address from the API, are yours to gate.
